IE is an evidence-based process of unlearning everything that put the control of your food intake outside of you. It is a way to relearn that precious gift that we all had as very young children: to eat when we are hungry, stop when we are satisfied, and ENJOY life without creating unhealthy beliefs and behaviors around food and our bodies.
Intuitive eating uses the skills of interoceptivity (the ability to feel what’s going on in your body, mind and emotions) as well as mindfulness to help get you back to a place of trust in your ability to have a healthy and happy relationship with food and learn appreciate (even celebrate!) your body.
Developed by two prominent nutritionists and validated by years of peer-reviewed research, Intuitive Eating Coaching will teach you:

• How to find satisfaction in your eating
• How to feel your feelings without using food
• How to honor hunger and feel fullness
• How to follow the ten principles of “Intuitive Eating”

Please note: This program is appropriate for individuals who may be struggling with active eating disorders (i.e. those who are engaging in behaviors such as bingeing and purging, or food restriction), if they are also in therapeutic counseling with a qualified professional. I am happy to work with your counselor to ensure that our work together is in line with your therapeutic protocols.
